There are no classes at Baloween!

Baloween is an exchange focused on social dancing and personal connections with fellow dancers!

We do recommend you know the basics of Balboa before attending. Additionally, if you are interested in learning while you are here, check out the dancers offering private lessons during the weekend!

Weekend Pass includes admission to everything: 3 evening dances with live music and DJs, 2 DJ'd late nights, daytime social activities (games, practice sessions, and more)

If you want to book a private lesson or small group private class, you can do so by contacting the instructor of your choice, found on our Private Lesson page, which will be coming soon! You will pay them directly for your lesson. You will need a Weekend Pass or Day Pass to access the private space venue.

2026 Pricing

We’ve done away with price tiers and limited discounts, which can add stress to planning your trip. Instead, we will offer a sliding-scale pricing structure for the weekend, available online through October 23, 2026.

A sliding scale pricing sets variable rates for the same pass, so attendees can pay in a way that is right for their financial situation. Those with fewer resources can select the lower price pass, and those with a little extra income can choose to pay a higher rate. Choosing a higher rate will help us make this event possible. Regional swing dance events are often operating at a loss or, if lucky, very close to break even.

Weekend Passes

These prices are valid through October 23, 2026. Listed prices do not include tax, which will be added at checkout.

Purchasing a Weekend Pass in advance automatically enters you into a raffle for a chance to win prizes (including passes to other events!)

Discount Price* $70 People who have little expendable income and cannot afford Standard Price

Standard Price $85 People who meet their needs and have some expendable income

Supporter Price $100 People with a little extra expendable income and want to help support other dancers

Patron Price $120 People with extra expendable income and want to help this event break even

Sponsor Package $200 People who want their name or business displayed on our site and brochures (available until October 1)

All Weekend Passes bought at the door will be $95 and will only be available if there is still space.

A La Carte Pricing

A La Carte prices will be available at the door at the event. We highly encourage purchasing a full weekend pass in advance, as at-the-door passes will be limited based on remaining fire-code capacity at the venue. Prices will be posted soon

Purchasing this pass gets you one full weekend pass and your name or a company name listed on our Sponsors list, which will be printed in our brochures and advertised on our website home page! Please note that Sponsorship Packages are available only until October 1, to ensure all sponsors are listed in the printed materials that must be ordered ahead of the event.

Refund Policy

TLDR Version:

Attendees may not transfer/sell/give their pass to anyone else.

Refunds (minus an administrative fee) are available through March 6th.

We do not offer year-to-year pass transfers.

Sponsor Packages are non-refundable.

Need to cancel your registration? Please let us know ASAP!

Due the increase in Facebook scams surrounding pass sales, we do NOT allow attendees to sell or give their pass to someone else.

Additionally, we do NOT offer transfers to a future year for purchased or won passes.

Instead, we will offer refunds for cancelled registrations, minus an administrative fee, through October 1st, provided we are notified via email at PHXBaloween@gmail.com. 

For our record-keeping and general sanity, all cancellations must be sent via email. Do not use social media to notify us of cancellations.

All cancellations & refunds require time & labor. We are charged a transaction fee for every purchase and can not get that back, even if we refund a transaction. Additionally, as we get closer to the event date, a portion of the money from your pass has already been spent on non-refundable expenses (such as venue rentals and band deposits).

Last-minute cancellations can be particularly devastating for an event, and for the finances of the people who run it, hence our increasing administrative fee for refunds & our cancellation cut-off date. If you can afford it, please consider keeping your pass even if you know you won’t be able to attend the event.

For a Refund, please notify us no later than:

July 1 for a refund, minus 5% administration fees

September 1 for a refund, minus 10% administration fees

October 1 for a refund, minus 15% administration fees

After October 1st, no refunds will be accepted.

By registering for the event, you agree to this refund policy.

Running an event is a financial gamble that costs thousands of dollars to make happen. Want to show how much you appreciate the event? Buy your pass early! This helps reassure us that we will have the funds to make the event great for everyone in advance!

These refund rules are in place not to be difficult, but to help protect the organizers from financial loss from last-minute cancellations.
