Rail information

The closest Amtrack Train Station is Maricopa Station (MRC) which has a stop on Amtrack’s Texas Eagle Route and Sunset Limited Route. This train station is about 35 miles (40 minute drive) away from the Main Venue in Mesa.

Air Information

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is centrally located in Phoenix and has nonstop services to most major cities. It is about 10 miles (20 minute drive) away from the Main Venue in Mesa.

Additional Activities and meet-up spaces will be in the Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert regions. Staying within these areas will keep you central to the dancing!

 

Local Housing

If you are interested in staying with a local dancer, we have a limited number of local hosts that we can connect you with! To apply for housing, please fill out the form linked below. Housing forms are due by September 1. Please keep in mind that submitting a housing form does not guarantee you will be assigned housing for the event. Please have a backup plan in place. Housing confirmations will be sent out by September 14. Input information about being housed with local dancer for the weekend. Add any relevant notes here, including limited availability and a suggestion to have a backup plan.

Hotels + Rentals

Baloween does not have a partner hotel for discounted rates. However, Mesa, Chandler, and Gilbert have plenty of great options for all preference ranges.

There are also a range of short-term rental options in these areas.

Getting Around

Public Transit Information

The city of Phoenix metro area has a range of public transportation options, including Buses and Lightrail depending on what you need. Information can be found here.

Carpooling

Despite the public transportation option, Phoenix area is predominantly a car-based city. Having access to a car will make your trip a lot easier. Feel free to use our Facebook page to help find friends to carpool with, or consider sharing a rental car with a group of roommates. Additionally, Uber and Lyft are readily available in the city, and if your housing is close to the venues, the cost is not too steep.
